2011 Puffin Foundation Grant: A national Arts grant from the Puffin Foundation, located in Teaneck, New Jersey, for a book series that explores the worldwide cultural folkloric roots of the Red Riding Hood tale.

Founder, WeThink, Inc., Principle creative of a small business that creates print and web communications and learning tools that explain complex things in simple ways through words and pictures to a target audience. Projects funded by public entities, schools, and Fortune 1000 companies (www.wethinkinc.com).

Designer of art education programs for public schools and agencies, including: developing a suite of interactive media tools to individualize learning for an Oregon school studio arts program; creating and implementing a traveling hands-on arts program for three California district schools; designing traveling education programs for public agencies to raise awareness of pressing community issues.

Arts/Media Instructor: Teaching Fellow, visual literacy and media, University of Oregon; Five years teaching ( K-8 levels) in California and Oregon schools with a speciality of applying arts education to the school curriculum to spark learning in at-risk students.
